Jack Dorsey Announces Annual Grant of $1 Million to Signal Private Messenger

Jack Dorsey said on Tuesday that he would give an annual grant of $1 million to Signal, the non-profit privacy-oriented messenger. The Twitter Co-Founder said that the grant to the private messaging app was the first in a series of grants to support "open internet development" and that social networking should not be owned by a single company or group of companies.
