Regulating Online Hate Will Have Unintended, but Predictable, Consequences

Hate speeches on social media and other online spaces has grown exponentially in the past couple of years. To control such speeches, the Canadian government is currently holding consultations on a new online hate bill. While steps to control hate speech is understandable, the bill runs the very real risk of making things considerably worse.
