Facebook Fails to Detect Violent Hate Speeches in Advertisements Submitted by Non-Profit Groups

Facebook and parent company Meta again failed the test to detect violent hate speech in advertisements submitted by Global Witness and Foxglove. The group created 12 text-based ads that used dehumanizing hate speech. While Facebook’s systems approved the ads for publication, they were not actually published on the platform.
